Silver Linings Collective Campaign Shoot
Art Direction, Photography
When Silver Linings Collective approached me to create imagery for their latest campaign, I stepped into the roles of art director, organiser, and photographer. The goal was to move beyond a traditional jewellery shoot and instead capture something emotional, artistic, and versatile.
The creative process began with concept development and mood boards, which led us to North Beach for a sunrise shoot. I arranged access to the North Beach Surf Club as our base, ensuring the models had somewhere warm to retreat to. Details like hot water bottles, extra clothing, and plenty of coffee were all part of making sure everyone was comfortable and could enjoy the day.
I coordinated the models, and we brought on board two clothing partners, The Collective and Max, whose pieces complemented our vision beautifully. Max’s involvement was particularly fitting, as they already stock Silver Linings jewellery.
To elevate the shoot, I collaborated with co-photographer Daniela Aebli. Our contrasting styles meant we were able to capture a wide range of content within the same art direction, doubling the gallery while keeping the models warm and the process efficient. Together, we created a set that felt like a “studio on the beach” a concept that highlighted the juxtaposition of fine jewellery against raw natural backdrops.
The conditions could not have been better: a golden sunrise gave way to rolling fog, creating an atmospheric, emotional quality that aligned perfectly with our vision. The result was a collection of imagery that feels authentic, feminine, and wearable for any occasion.
At the heart of this project was collaboration and care. From our full female crew to our thoughtful preparation, every detail mattered, and the result was a campaign that Silver Linings Collective can use across their website, social media, and print.
